Robyn Sharp Mooney

Chief Executive Officer

Robyn brings over 35 years of professional experience to CarpeVITA Home Care. A graduate of St. Marks High School, she went on to attend the University of Delaware and then graduated from the Medical Center of Delaware School of Radiologic Technology and spent the next 10 years as a MRI Technologist with Christiana Imaging Center (CIC). There, she focused on patient care, evaluating and scanning patients, communicating with both patients and physicians, as well as scheduling, billing and insurance issues.

After Robyn’s tenure with CIC, she purchased Hansel & Gretel, a long-established children’s clothing boutique in North Wilmington. As the sole proprietor, she was responsible for the entire operations, from hiring and managing a small staff to purchasing, marketing and merchandising. Robyn ran the store for nearly 4 years, however, after an unfortunate car accident, she could no longer run the day-to-day operations, and she sold the store in 2002. After taking a few years to recover from the extensive injuries she sustained in the accident, Robyn began working as a salon coordinator at a local boutique hair and nail salon. It is there that her interest in the Home Health Care business began after the owner and her sister were diagnosed with brain cancer. Around the same time, Robyn’s father was diagnosed with tongue and colon cancer, and she took a primary role in the care of her father during his battle with the disease.

Robyn started her home health care business in her kitchen with just one client and one caregiver in 2011. She has grown the business over the years to become one of the leading home care providers in the State of Delaware.

Robyn has always taken an active role in her community, volunteering for many organizations over the years. She was the President of the PTA at St. Ann School, where her children attended and served as President of the Board of Directors for Mom’s House in Wilmington, DE for nearly 10 years. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Association of Home and Community Care.

When Robyn is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three adult children, three grandsons and being at the beach.
